Getting started in 10 minutes
Sign up, set up your dealership, import your inventory, customize your website, connect Facebook Marketplace and outbound feeds, invite your team, and start processing deals — in one focused session.
- 1
Create your account
Visit the sign up page and enter your name, email, business name, and a password. No credit card is required to start a 14-day free trial. You'll receive a verification email — click the link to activate your account.
- 2
Set up your dealership profile
On first login you'll be walked through setting up your dealership: business name, address, phone, hours, OMVIC number (if Ontario), default tax rate, and any standard fees. These fields drive all-in pricing and bill of sale generation, so it's worth filling them out properly.
- 3
Import your inventory
Add vehicles one at a time using VIN decode (paste a VIN, the system fills in year/make/model/trim/specs), or bulk import from a CSV. Upload photos to each vehicle — the platform automatically generates web-optimized versions and stores the originals on Cloudflare R2.
- 4
Customize your website
Pick a theme (Nova or Velocity), upload your logo, set your brand colors, and add your business hours and contact info. Your inventory syncs to the website automatically — every vehicle you add or sell updates the live site in real time.
- 5
Connect Facebook Marketplace
Install the FBMP companion Chrome extension and log into Facebook in the same browser. From your Automo Soft dashboard, queue vehicles for posting — the extension handles the actual posting in the background. Schedule posts throughout the day for the best reach.
- 6
Set up outbound feeds
Configure outbound feeds to AutoTrader, Kijiji Autos, CarGurus, and Carpages. Provide your dealer ID for each platform and Automo Soft generates a feed URL — give that URL to the marketplace, and your inventory will sync automatically going forward.
- 7
Invite your team
Add your salespeople, finance manager, and any other team members. Each user gets their own login and a role that controls what they can see and edit (owner, manager, salesperson). Owners can revoke access at any time.
- 8
Start processing deals
When a customer is ready to buy, build the deal in Automo Soft — pick the vehicle, add the customer, apply trade-in value, calculate financing, attach F&I products, and generate the bill of sale. Everything you need is on one screen.
